Over 50,000 attendees flock to Chicago for the most influential design show in the commercial furnishings industry. Nearly 1 million square feet of exhibition space is filled with industry-changing products and services from both leading and new manufacturers. We have worked with NeoCon since 2011 and reshaped their website each year to adapt to each of the annual themes.

The most recent iteration of the website was rebuilt around the robust CraftCMS content management system allowing the website to be easily managed and updated by NeoCon's in-house marketing department. This back-end was tailored specifically to the content they update on an on-going basis.

The homepage uses parallax scrolling and dynamic graphics to engage with the design-savvy visitors. As part of that, an eye-catching animation around the each year's particular theme sets the tone for the upcoming show.

One of the biggest challenges was developing a solution to dramatically simplify the number of overall pages while simultaneously shortening the length of each page. In addition to paring down the content itself, we developed the idea of expandable content blocks that can reveal additional content with a simple click. This allowed users to do a deep dive into the content that interested them while simply scanning the rest.
