The Edgewater Chamber of Commerce brought us in to develop a comprehensive branding and marketing strategy which included audience research, brand positioning, event suggestions, marketing schedules, and logo development. From there, we developed a far-reaching marketing plan that fit within their budget. This included website updates, stationery, membership cards, promotional materials, street banners and signage. The new system helped the organization stay in touch with its members and constituents within the community.
A simple and distinct identity was designed to highlight the name of the neighborhood. The logo uses a typographic solution to make the mark instantly recognizable and identifiable with the area. A vertical and horizontal version of the logo were specifically design to accommodate the unique applications.
One of the primary applications for the new logo was on the street pole banners that visual mark the neighborhood’s boundaries. Through our research, many people inside and outside of the area didn't know where Edgewater began and where it ended. The banners needed to be bold and simple to help visitors understand when they were entering or leaving the neighborhood.
