American Academy of Pediatrics

Washington DC

When AAP members came together in Washington, DC, the city’s landmarks became a focal point in the branding. We incorporated the soft tones of the cherry blossoms, blending them with striking magenta and teal. A flowing script added a nod to the city’s deep historical significance. These elements created a cohesive visual identity that tied the event’s theme closely to its unique location.

Our design team developed an extensive guide that covered everything from fonts to illustrations, colors, and applications. This guide served as a critical resource for the signage and advertising teams, streamlining our efforts. Additionally, all files were organized in a shared repository, ensuring easy access for everyone involved.

Brand Guidelines

We launched targeted e-blasts to both members and non-members to maximize conference registration. The campaign started with a general awareness push, followed by key updates as the event approached. During the conference, daily emails were sent to keep attendees—both physical and virtual—up-to-date on the latest happenings.

Signage

We developed a cohesive signage system that unified outdoor and indoor elements, ensuring the event’s visual theme was reflected throughout. Each sign was uniquely designed, from directional signs to event banners, contributing to an immersive attendee experience.

To ensure continuity of the theme, we designed a comprehensive signage system that covered both outdoor and indoor on-site signage. Each sign was infused with a unique look and vignette, including just about everything under the sun.

Website

The website design embraced the DC aesthetic, giving the entire site a historical, cohesive look that tied into the event’s theme across every page.

Social Media Graphics

The campaign’s bold colors and layered textures created eye-catching social media posts that drove engagement and sparked conversations about the event.

AAP took advantage of industry publications to promote their registration. By leveraging a standout cut-paper design, their print ad captured attention amidst the typically formal medical ads, ensuring higher visibility.
